What if my dog doesn't get on with another dog?

We take care to ensure that all dogs have a positive experience at our daycare. To achieve this, every dog is screened to determine if daycare is a good fit for them. We then place dogs into small, compatible playgroups of 3-5 dogs. These groups are based on similar size and temperament to ensure everyone feels happy, relaxed, and content.

For instance, we have specialized groups for older dogs, nervous dogs, and dogs with specific health needs. These groupings help create a more relaxed and suitable environment for each dog’s individual requirements.

Should your dog have difficulty with another dog, we will assess the situation and find the best solution. This may include changing their playgroup.

What happens if it rains or is too cold?

We have heated snooze rooms where your dog has a choice of sofas and comfy dog beds to escape the weather.  We also have all weather surface play areas and field shelters in the outside play areas.  During inclement weather conditions we switch the focus of the days activities to cognitive exercises, working their noses and brains.

I have a small dog/puppy/elderly dog/nervous dog, can they come?

Yes, we prioritize ensuring that all dogs have a positive experience at our daycare.

To achieve this, we group small and young dogs together. We also have a dedicated group for older, nervous, or dogs with an ailment. Our daycare centre provides the perfect environment for your puppy to grow and socialize, and we welcome puppies as soon as they are fully vaccinated.

Located in a beautiful, rural setting, our centre is designed to cater to the needs of all dogs, whether they are energetic and lively or quieter, shy, and older.

Do you take last minute bookings?

Yes. But please note cancellation is 24 hours, or full fees taken

What are your opening hours?

We are closed on weekends and public holidays and during our shutdown period over Christmas and New Year, to give our dedicated pet sitters and dog lovers a much-deserved break.

Do I need to bring anything when my dog comes to daycare?

Pawprints provides everything your dog needs during their stay. However, if your dog has special dietary needs or requires medication, please bring their food or medication and provide detailed instructions for administration.

For puppies under 16 weeks or dogs who still require lunch, please bring their lunch in a labeled plastic container and we will return it to you at the end of your dog’s day.

How old does my dog need to be to come to doggy daycare?

The early stages of your dog’s life are key to developing essential social and life skills. We accept puppies from 12 weeks, so long as they have had their 2nd vaccinations.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

We require all dogs to be fully vaccinated and we will require a copy of your vaccination certificate. We do not accept titre tests.

Why is a trial assessment day important for my dog?

We understand that choosing the right daycare for your dog is an important decision. To ensure your dog feels comfortable and confident in our environment, we offer a first-day trial. These trials are typically held on quieter days to provide your dog with a calm and positive introduction to our daycare.

Once your dog officially joins us, we take care to place them in a group with similar personalities and play styles. This ensures they can safely interact and enjoy a balanced day of play and rest. Our goal is for your dog to have the best possible experience every time they visit.

What if my dog needs medication?

Rest assured, our team is fully trained to handle that. We store client belongings individually and keep all medications safely out of reach of the dogs. We will administer any necessary medication according to your veterinarian’s instructions.

In the unlikely event of an emergency, you and/or your secondary contact will be notified immediately. Our trained staff will provide continued care for your pet whenever possible and, if necessary, transport them to our trusted local veterinarian.

Will my dog be supervised at all times
